Best TV I have ever owned
Arrived last night ahead of time and the set up was by far the easiest I have ever accomplished. I am 66 year old female and consider myself weak at understanding directions. I zipped through the set up like a master, including the Wifi and Xfinity X1 box set up (HDM1 connection). A genius programed this TV set up with me in mind and the remote makes total sense. Love the fact it has a Netflix button that takes you directly through Wifi to Netflix. I can't give enough praise to this Sony Bravia 32 inch TV. This one is mine and perfect for my bedroom. The color is brilliant, contrast is great, wonderfully crisp and sharp. Best color TV I have ever owned or viewed for that matter. And the sound exceeds what I would have expected on this model. I realize that there are few reviews on this model and that is because it is a brand new model I guess. I recommend you stop here and buy this TV. I don't understand that semi negative review about it being too pricing for what you get. I strongly disagree. I think it is reasonable considering the high quality. I will mention that I initially purchased the TCL Roku TV and had to return it. Couldn't set it up and after 8 hours of telephone support I couldn't get anything to work as promised. So I am elated that I made the right choice with this TV this time

Great resolution, frequest software updates and Amazon video is now available!
I purchased this TV when it first came out to replace the Vizio I had previously ordered. We watch TV using the Sobetter 50 Miles Amplified Indoor HDTV Antenna with Detachable Amplifier Power Supply and 9.8-Feet Coax Cable and the internet content has improved with the addition of Amazon Video!!
We can now access Hulu, Netflix and Amazon video. The resolution is amazing and I like the fact that Sony constantly improves its TVs by releasing software updates that are easy to install by just clicking on download now or update later.

Great Little TV
I bought this TV after years of NOT having one. I wanted to watch Netflix, Hulu, etc. on a television set after years of just watching on a laptop or my PC. After reading the reviews, I also purchases a Fire Stick because some of the reviews say the built-in setup was a bit difficult to navigate.

I love it! The Fire Stick works perfectly with this set. I didn't bother setting up apps through the TV and just used the stick. It was so easy to use and setup. I have a small living room and the picture and sound are perfect. I've never had to push the volume up to half to hear it properly. I do not have it mounted on the wall, so I don't know how difficult that is, but it's pretty easy to put together the stand. Would highly recommend if you don't want the bells and whistles.

With a little (LOT!) of help from "Mike", we couldn't be more pleased with our new set!
If you're seeking a technically fluent description of the 48" Sony we just received yesterday, this most definitely is NOT the review you need, so please just move right along to a better one! My husband and I missed the technological revolution big time, and consider ourselves very fortunate that I have a techie brother to help navigate us through all of today's terminology, gadgetry, etc. We don't know the difference between a "Bluetooth" and a tooth ache... at this stage of the game, we're just older folks with simple needs who oftentimes (ALL the times?) feel lost and rely on the expertise (and patience!) of my (much younger) brother when it comes to things like computers, cell phones, TV's, etc. When our TV went out a couple of weeks ago, we found ourselves longing for the days when all you needed to know about a TV was how to plug it into the wall socket! If that rings a familiar bell with you, then read on.

We recognize that it's because of the amazing advances in technology that we have TVs like this Sony, with its beautiful, clear picture unlike any set we've ever experienced... now that it's functioning (thanks to little bro!), we absolutely love this set! We live on a fixed income, so I did a simple google search of "5 best TVs under $500" which popped up a couple of Vizio models, an LG, a TCL, and this one. But here we go again... terms like "UHD", "LED", "HDTV", "ROKU", "Ultra HD", "Smart TV" are Greek to us! We knew the name "Sony" though, and the review talked about it being a best seller because of its clarity, high resolution images, and 48" screen size which is rare in its price range (things we understood!), going on to say you can use its USB ports to plug in your Chromecast or Fire TV and its HDMI to connect it to your other devices and gaming consoles, but that you don't need any of that because it comes with built in wifi, allowing you to stream Netflix, YouTube, etc. (we didn't understand ANY of that!) With the blessing of little brother, we forked over our $453.44 (kicking myself that I hadn't clicked that "submit order" button when the price was $427.44!)

When it was delivered, I couldn't believe how light it was! (We thought we'd died and gone to heaven back in '09 when little brother bought the "latest & greatest" and donated his old '97 Mitsubishi big screen to us... at 3'-8"W, 4'-3"H and over 1 FOOT depth, we dubbed it "The Monster" - that was the TV that finally bit the dust after serving valiantly, so - needless to say - getting the same width in a TV that was only going to take up 2'-5"H, including its 3"H stand... which I actually attached myself!, and a screen just ONE-HALF INCH thick (the base is 10-1/4" long... we weren't interested in the wall-mount feature) seemed incredible to us. I'd been a bit concerned about such a "big ticket" item being shipped to us versus picking it up at the retail level, but it was very securely packaged/protected.

BUT... if you're a dinosaur like we are, you'll panic at the brief illustrated "Setup Guide", accompanied by the 54 page Operating Instructions manual! That's when we called little brother (oh, heck - his name is Mike!), and he barely looked at the instructions as he began hooking things up (we needed our DVD player connected as well so we were ready for our shared bowl of popcorn with the grandkids while watching their favorite during the next sleepover). One thing he almost immediately realized is that we needed a... well, $20 "6 ft High-Speed HDMI Cable" is what the Radio Shack receipt says! Quick run to the store, then paging through our cable remote's instruction manual to get everything in sync. Took 2-1/2 hours (of course, that included the store trip and a lot of chit chat over a couple of cold ones!), and though I don't know HOW he did it, all I can say is we are enjoying the heck out of the results! But if you're technically disinclined, make sure you have your own "Mike" on hand lend an assist (ours is already spoken for!)

You won't be disappointed!
Got on here and read reviews until I was dizzy.
One review would be glowing, the next bad.
Personally, I can't go for a name I have never heard, or a price too good to be true.
I went with Sony because they are a long standing, good name in electronics. 375.00 price point is sweet.
The picture is crisp, nothing at all lacking in this 2016 model.
Can't comment on the sound because we set up the Bose sound bar to go with the set. {Look into this, you'll love how it makes your set sound!}
Go for it, you won't be sorry!

The Samsung was such a disappointment. It wasn’t very user friendly
I had a 32” LED Samsung TV before this Sony. The Samsung was such a disappointment. It wasn’t very user friendly .
Another thing I didn’t like about the Samsung it made this stupid music noise when turning it on or off.
The Samsung only lasted 4 1/2 yrs and back lighting burned out. It had sound but no picture.
This Sony is a lot better TV.

Old Model, but great picture!
This is a great tv, especially for the cost. It's a sony so the picture is amazing. The stand is what led me to this model. I have a stand that's not very wide and all the tv's now have very wide feet and won't fit.

Great picture, good sound, easy to use
Great picture, sounds great too suprisingly. Play the ps4 on it and it seems to indicate 1080p even though the description here says 720?? Pleasant suprise there. The picture is playing monster hunter side by side with a 10 year old 40 inch sony bravia. Vrother and i needed a swcond tv for coop play

Smart TV. Very clear and sharp picture
An outstanding small (32 in. ) Smart TV. Very clear and sharp picture. Others have complained about the sound, but we have no criticism of the sound.

Great Quality
This was a Christmas present and a great one at that. Works great, bright picture, easy to mount, Very well received!
