This year, Best Buy started their Black Friday (BF) deals with 17 hours on Thanksgiving. 4K HDTVs and UHDTVs sale in three categories: private label products of TV brands (not Best Buy) and standard TVs (eg Samsung, LG, Sony). Big brands are unilateral Price Program (UPP). These are the most sought after, as well as those who may purchase products from their home computer.
According to a customer service representative Amazon price is the TV UPP Thanksgiving. This means, regardless of the Black Friday deals, Amazon will match. Best Buy also offers customers buy TVs online at Best Buy, instead of waiting outside the store for hours (and hours) in the hope of a ticket for a TV deal.
